Be United Cabinet

2023

In an effort to discourage vandalism and graffiti, the City of Puyallup made a call for local artists to design or draw a piece which could be turned into a wrap for a traffic cabinet in the area which points to Puyallup’s agricultural background, history, or people. My design, entitled Be United, was one of four pieces chosen by the Puyallup Arts and Culture Commission and draws on attributes of the city’s past with beekeeping and the beautiful diversity of its citizens today. In addition to pointing to these two themes, my piece was also made to emulate unity amongst peoples and unity between humankind and nature. This piece was also featured in Whitworth University’s Script magazine published in the spring of 2024.

Made with Adobe Photoshop.
